Two of boxing’s biggest names are stepping back into the ring. Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. and “Iron” Mike Tyson are set to face each other in an exhibition boxing match next spring (March–May 2026), organizers have confirmed.
The event will be promoted by CSI Sports / Fight Sports, though the exact date and venue are yet to be announced.
Tyson Returns to the Spotlight
Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs) has not secured a professional win since 2003, when he stopped Clifford Etienne in just 49 seconds. Over the past two decades, the former heavyweight champion has fought sparingly, most recently against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in November 2024, where he lost by unanimous decision. This upcoming bout with Mayweather will not count toward his professional record.
“When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought, ‘No way this happens,’” Tyson said in a press release. “But Floyd said yes.”
Mayweather Brings His Perfect Record
Mayweather (50-0) retired from professional boxing in 2017 after defeating UFC star Conor McGregor. Since then, he has taken part in exhibition matches, including high-profile appearances in Japan and Dubai.“I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” Mayweather said. “If I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and legendary. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”
Event Details Coming Soon
CSI Sports co-founders Richard and Craig Miele said they plan to reveal the venue, weight class, and other details in the coming months.“We are planning a robust promotional campaign with worldwide reach,” they noted. “The event will introduce new in-ring technology elements that could reshape how boxing is presented and scored in the future.”
