MuzicGH is a Ghanaian digital publication that tells stories about Ghana, its people and culture, as well as the ideas, changes and developments affecting everyday life. Our coverage extends beyond Ghana to include important stories from Africa and the wider world.

MuzicGH began as a music-focused blog in 2021, founded by Derricking Wilson out of a personal passion and lifelong love for music. What started as a platform for music gradually grew as our interests and coverage expanded. Today, music remains an important part of MuzicGH, but the publication has developed into a broader platform covering culture, technology and AI, business and money, mental health and psychology, Ghanaian society, and major developments at home and abroad.

Our Purpose

MuzicGH aims to make important stories easier to understand.

We report on what is happening, but we also look at the context behind stories and why they matter. Where appropriate, we explain the issues, trends and changes that affect people's lives, particularly in Ghana.

This approach is especially reflected in our Ghana Explained coverage, where we look beyond the basic facts to help readers understand what happened, why it matters, who may be affected and what could happen next.

Our Journey

MuzicGH was launched in 2021 as a music-focused blog. It began as a personal project built around a love for music and gradually expanded into other areas of interest.

As the publication grew, its coverage moved into technology, news, culture, education, lifestyle, mental health, psychology and other subjects. That evolution has shaped the MuzicGH of today: a broader Ghanaian digital publication that still has music at its roots but now looks at a wider range of stories, ideas and developments.

The name MuzicGH reflects where the platform came from, while the publication itself continues to evolve.
