The updated model targets complex problem-solving tasks and is available to developers, enterprises, and consumers across multiple platforms. Alongside it, Google released an upgrade to Gemini 3 Deep Think, a version built specifically for science and engineering applications where data is incomplete and solutions are non-linear. Deep Think is accessible to Google AI Ultra subscribers, with early API access available to researchers and enterprises on request.
On the creative side, Google launched Nano Banana 2, a new image generation model designed to combine the output quality of its Pro-tier models with the processing speed of its Flash tier. The model powers image generation in both the Gemini app and Google Search, and is available to developers for deployment at scale.
Google also released Lyria 3, a music generation tool integrated into the Gemini app that produces 30-second audio tracks with custom cover art from text descriptions, photos, or video input. The company separately announced that ProducerAI,a lyrics and melody tool, would join Google Labs.
At the AI Impact Summit held in New Delhi, Chief Executive Sundar Pichai called on global leaders to pursue AI development boldly and responsibly. Google announced new national partnerships in India, fresh Google.org Impact Challenges focused on science and government, and a new AI professional certificate program aimed at broadening skills access.
Google Cloud and Google DeepMind disclosed they had built an AI video analysis tool for Team USA ahead of the Olympic Winter Games, capable of mapping athlete motion from standard 2D footage in near real time. Google also said its Gemini television advertisement, which aired during the Super Bowl, was ranked the top in-game spot by the Kellogg School of Management.
