President John Dramani Mahama is today set to begin a two-day tour of the Northern Region under his administration's #ResettingGhana initiative, the Presidency has announced.
The visit is the second leg of the nationwide tour, following an earlier stop in the Bono Region. It is designed to allow citizens, led by their traditional leaders, to engage directly with the President on policy implementation, development projects, and community concerns.
President Mahama, accompanied by ministers of state and heads of institutions, is expected to cut the sod to begin construction of 24-hour markets and inspect ongoing development projects across the region.
On Sunday, the tour will culminate in a town hall meeting at the University of Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale, where government appointees will account for major policy interventions carried out over the past year.
