The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) said it will begin its 2025 enlistment and recruitment exercise in the coming days, conducting activities in all 16 regional capitals to widen access for applicants nationwide, according to an official press release dated Sept. 29, 2025.
GAF said official details will be published only on its platforms, the GAF website and the GAF recruitment portal, and in state newspapers including the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times. It urged the public to rely on those channels for schedules and requirements.
The military cautioned that any recruitment links circulating on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or other social media promising “protocol” recruitment should be ignored, adding that such messages are scams.
No invitation for enlistment will come from any individual member of the Armed Forces or its High Command, the statement said, calling for public cooperation to protect the integrity of the process.
The release, numbered “No. 2,” was signed by Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of the Department of Public Relations, a role confirmed in recent GAF communications.
GAF has issued recurring warnings this year about fraudulent enlistment offers after reports of social-media schemes targeting prospective applicants. In June, the force cautioned the public against fake advertisements and urged reliance on official notices.
Ahead of the 2025 intake, the late Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and other officials also reminded the public to avoid paying intermediaries and to review eligibility criteria when applications open.
As of publication, GAF had not released detailed timelines, eligibility thresholds or application steps for the 2025 cycle. Prospective candidates were directed to monitor the official sites for updates.
