The public launch, taking place at the Ridge Church Main Auditorium, marks the beginning of a year-long celebration intended to reflect on the school's legacy while laying the groundwork for its centenary in 2031.
The event will be chaired by Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, Chairman of the Council of State. Minister for Education Hon. Haruna Iddrisu will deliver the keynote address, and Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, will attend as the special guest of honour.
According to the Joint 95th Anniversary Planning Committee, the programme will feature the unveiling of the official anniversary logo, the presentation of a year-long activity calendar, stakeholder addresses, and a historical documentary. A fundraising appeal and paraphernalia sales will also be held to support the school's infrastructural development and planned activities.
Founded in 1931, Accra Academy holds the historic distinction of being the first private secondary school established by Ghanaians.
