The meeting, held on Tuesday at the GFA headquarters in Accra, involved GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and identical twin brothers Micheal Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist), who comprise the award-winning musical group.
The talks focused on utilizing music and entertainment to rally nationwide support for the national team, the Black Stars, during the upcoming tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, while simultaneously promoting the visibility of domestic football.
"With football and music serving as two of Ghana's strongest instruments of national identity and pride, there is tremendous value in bringing both sectors together to inspire the nation," Simeon-Okraku, who also serves as the second vice-president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), said in a statement.
Micheal Boafo expressed DopeNation's commitment to spearheading entertainment and fan engagement initiatives to galvanize support for the World Cup campaign, alongside contributing to local football development.
The meeting was attended by senior football administrators, including GFA Deputy General Secretary Ama Brobey Williams, Head of Business Development Janice Odonkor, Director of Marketing Jamil Maraby, and Senior Manager of Communication Patrick Akoto. DopeNation's management representative, Mohammed Ennin, was also present.
The GFA stated that both parties will continue engagements to formalize collaboration frameworks leading up to the global tournament.
