Stonebwoy’s Releases “5th Dimension” Album |
Ghanaian afro-dancehall icon Stonebwoy (Livingstone Etse Satekla) has released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, 5th Dimension. The 17-track album blends reggae, dancehall, and African rhythms, showcasing his contributions to the Afro-Dancehall genre and collaborations with internationally recognized artists such as Stormzy, Angélique Kidjo, Oxlade, Tiwa Savage, and Dexta Daps.
Opening with “Life & Money” featuring Stormzy, the album sets a motivational tone, celebrating humble beginnings and global success. Tracks like “Far Away” blend Amapiano and dancehall, while “More of You” offers a romantic reggae ballad. In “Therapy”, Stonebwoy teams up with Oxlade and Tiwa Savage to tell a love story marked by imperfections.
Standout collaborations include “Run Am” with Mereba and “In Control” with Jaz Karis, exploring long-distance relationships. The album also features “Activate” with Davido, an Afrobeat tune, and “My Sound” with Shaggy, a dancehall anthem. Dexta Daps joins Stonebwoy on the sultry “Secret Lover,” while Maphorisa adds an Amapiano flair to “Apotheke.”
Solo tracks like “Non-Stop” and “African System” showcase Stonebwoy's versatility, touching on themes of love and social issues across Africa. The album closes with “Manodzi,” a celebratory collaboration with five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo, highlighting African culture’s diversity and beauty.
Critically acclaimed, 5th Dimension marks Stonebwoy’s growth and his impact on the global Afro-Dancehall scene. The album is now available on major streaming platforms.
