Event Schedule and Key Highlights
The three-day celebration will feature a blend of cultural, recreational, and formal events designed to strengthen ties between alumni, current students, and faculty. Below are the highlights.Friday, 1st November, 2024
- Arrival and Funfair: Festivities will commence with the arrival of guests at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funfair organized by “High School Connect,” featuring a special performance by Ghanaian artist Tulenkey.
- Borborbor Evening: Attendees will enjoy an evening of traditional Borborbor dancing from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, a tribute to the Volta Region’s cultural heritage.
Saturday, 2nd November, 2024
- Health Walk: The day will begin with an early-morning Health Walk from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM, promoting fitness and camaraderie among participants.
- 60th Anniversary Launch: The official launch of the anniversary celebrations will take place between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, featuring speeches from prominent alumni, school leadership, and other distinguished guests.
- Lunch, Games & Entertainment: The afternoon will see a range of activities, including lunch, games from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and evening entertainment from 7:30 PM onwards.
Sunday, 3rd November, 2024
- Thanksgiving Service: A solemn Thanksgiving Service is scheduled from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, offering an opportunity for the school community to reflect on its journey over the past 60 years.
- Alumni-Staff Meeting: From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, alumni will meet with the school’s headmaster and teaching staff to discuss the future of ANFOESEC and potential areas of support for ongoing and upcoming projects.
As preparations continue, ANFOESEC and ANFOSA urge all alumni to attend the celebration and contribute through mentoring, financial support, and active involvement. This milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the school’s 60-year journey and to chart a path forward for its future.
