The National Service Authority (NSA) has issued a stern warning to its personnel and district managers following reports of unauthorized monetary demands linked to the submission of monthly evaluation forms.
In a circular dated February 2, 2026, and signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority addressed what it described as "reports of a pressing nature" indicating that some National Service Personnel are being asked to make payments before their monthly evaluation forms are accepted or processed at certain district offices.
The NSA categorically stated that no payment is required from any National Service Personnel for the submission, validation, or processing of monthly evaluation forms. The circular emphasized that any demand for money in this regard is unauthorized, unacceptable, and contrary to the Authority's policies and regulations.
The development has already led to disciplinary action, with the Authority confirming that some district managers found culpable in similar instances have been sanctioned or suspended pending further investigation in accordance with disciplinary procedures.

The circular outlined three key directives. District managers have been cautioned to desist immediately from engaging in any form of monetary demand or collection from National Service Personnel related to monthly evaluation forms. Personnel themselves have been strongly advised not to make any payments to officers or individuals for the submission or processing of their forms.
The Authority has also encouraged any National Service Personnel who have been coerced into making such payments to report the matter immediately to the appropriate regional office or directly to the head office for prompt investigation and action.
Management reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to transparency, integrity, and fairness in its administration, calling on all stakeholders to cooperate in upholding these standards. The circular urged that the matter be accorded "the urgency and seriousness it deserves."
