One of the biggest updates is an enhanced version of Gemini Live, which can now complete multi-step requests across dozens of Android applications. Instead of switching between apps, users can ask Gemini to perform connected tasks such as finding information, scheduling events, creating reminders or managing workflows using natural language. Google said the feature works with more than 40 supported apps.
Google is also bringing Gemini Notebook to Samsung's newest Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 smartphones. The AI-powered workspace helps users organize research, summarize documents and generate useful materials including study guides, presentations and even AI-generated podcasts. Eligible Galaxy customers will receive six months of Google AI Pro access with their new devices.
Beyond smartphones, Gemini is expanding to Samsung's latest Galaxy Watch models, allowing users to complete everyday tasks directly from their wrists using voice commands. The assistant can send messages, manage reminders and provide quick assistance without requiring users to take out their phones.
Google also previewed Gemini's role in the next generation of Android-powered smart glasses. The upcoming wearable devices will use AI to understand what users are looking at, answer questions about their surroundings and help perform actions in real time through voice interactions.
The latest announcements reflect Google's broader effort to make Gemini the core AI experience across the Android ecosystem, extending intelligent assistance beyond smartphones to watches and wearable devices while deepening its long-standing collaboration with Samsung.
