Ghana Police, Prisons, Immigration & Fire Service Aptitude & Trade Tests – February 2026 Dates

The Ghana Ministry of the Interior has unveiled comprehensive guidelines for the 2025/26 Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal (C-SERP) aptitude and trade tests, scheduled to commence February 10, 2026, introducing stringent artificial intelligence proctoring measures to ensure examination integrity across multiple public sector agencies.

Test Schedule and Category-Based Testing Windows

The online aptitude assessment will be conducted over a 13-day period from Tuesday, February 10 through Sunday, February 22, 2026, with applicants assigned specific testing windows based on their educational qualifications. The staggered schedule allocates Tuesday, February 10 through Friday, February 13 for NVTI, JHS, Sportsmen, and Certificate holders; Saturday, February 14 through Tuesday, February 17 for HND, Degree, and Masters holders; and Wednesday, February 18 through Sunday, February 22 for WASSCE holders

Technical Requirements and Examination Format

Applicants are required to take the examination using computer systems with functional webcam and microphone capabilities. Category A candidates will answer 30 questions and undergo additional trade-specific testing aligned with their selected vacancy positions, while Category B and Category C applicants will complete 60-question assessments. The examination maintains a pass mark threshold of 65 percent.

Enhanced AI Proctoring and Security Protocols

The testing platform incorporates advanced artificial intelligence proctoring features, including continuous session recording and random snapshot capture designed to detect malpractices. Before beginning the examination, applicants will complete an enrollment stage that calibrates webcam functionality, tests liveness, confirms test-taker identity, and assesses internet connection strength and ambient noise levels.

Applicants must maintain facial alignment within the calibrated proctoring frame throughout the entire examination duration. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification. The system is programmed to detect attempts by individuals other than the registered applicant to complete the test, with sanctions applied for such violations.

Critical Examination Rules and Procedures

The examination cannot be closed, stopped, or saved once initiated. Upon expiration of the allotted time, the test will automatically submit. The platform requires applicants to provide answers to each question before advancing to subsequent items, ensuring comprehensive completion of the assessment.

A mandatory internet strength test precedes the actual examination, allowing applicants experiencing inadequate connectivity to opt for rescheduling when network conditions improve. The testing system provides access links directly through individual applicant portals during their designated category testing windows.

Multi-Service Application Protocols

Candidates who submitted applications to multiple government services are required to complete the aptitude test only once, streamlining the assessment process. However, applicants who selected different categories across different services or agencies must take separate examinations corresponding to each category.

Qualified applicants will receive SMS notifications reiterating test availability periods and providing reminders to access their portals within the specified dates for their respective categories.

The centralized recruitment initiative encompasses positions across four major public sector organizations: Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and Ghana Immigration Service. The C-SERP platform, powered by TrybeNet, represents a coordinated effort to modernize and standardize recruitment processes across Ghana's security and emergency services sector.
