Ghana's Black Stars technical staff have concluded an intensive one-month scouting and analysis operation, with the team generating 200 individual video performance reports and monitoring 170 matches as part of their build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in June, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed.
The programme, which ran from April 11 to May 11, represents one of the most structured pre-tournament preparation exercises undertaken by a Ghana national team technical setup. Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his staff carried out 30 live match observations, placed 75 players under continuous systematic scouting, and subjected 30 others to direct live assessment. The operation further included detailed technical and fitness performance analysis alongside comprehensive medical assessments.
According to the GFA, the initiative is central to a broader ambition to build a data-driven and detail-oriented culture within the national team programme.
"Behind every future success lies invisible work, sacrifice, discipline, and countless hours of commitment," the technical department stated in an internal communication. "The dream of a National Team is built every single day, through dedication, competence, attention to detail, passion, and responsibility."
Ghana secured qualification for their fifth FIFA World Cup and have been placed in Group L, where they will face Panama, England, and Croatia. The Black Stars open their campaign against Panama in Toronto on June 17, before meeting England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
The GFA confirmed that the technical team's work will continue into the next phase of World Cup preparations.
