The National Service Authority (NSA) has released Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes for 14,349 trained teachers ahead of enrollment for the 2026/27 National Service Year, the authority announced on March 9, 2026.
The release marks the official opening of the enrollment exercise, which runs from March 9 to March 20, 2026, giving prospective service personnel a narrow 11-day window to complete their registration online.
Which Colleges Are Included?
Of Ghana's 49 accredited Colleges of Education, only 36 submitted their class lists to the NSA in time for PIN generation. As a result, PIN codes have been issued exclusively to graduates of those 36 institutions. The NSA attached the full list of qualifying colleges to its public announcement. The colleges span all regions of Ghana, from Accra COE in Greater Accra and OLA COE in Cape Coast's Central Region, to institutions in the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Volta, Bono, and Western North regions. Notable colleges on the list include St. Louis COE and Wesley COE in Kumasi, St. John Bosco COE in Navrongo, and Wiawso COE in Sefwi Wiawso, among others.
Graduates of the 13 colleges that did not submit class lists were not captured in the current release and would therefore not have PIN codes generated at this time.
How to Access Your PIN Code
Eligible teachers are directed to visit the NSA's official website at gnsa.gov.gh/home and navigate to the portal section. Access requires a valid Student ID number and date of birth. Before gaining full access to the enrollment platform, teachers must pay a registration fee of GH₵82.00 via Mobile Money, available across all networks in Ghana.
Why National Service Is Mandatory
The NSA's announcement reaffirmed the legal basis for the exercise. Under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who is 18 years or older and has graduated from an accredited tertiary institution, including Colleges of Education and universities, is required by law to complete national service to the State. The statement was signed by Ruth Dela Seddoh, Director-General of the National Service Authority, and was copied to all accredited Colleges of Education and prospective national service personnel.
Teachers who are yet to access their PIN codes are advised to do so immediately, as the enrollment portal closes on March 20, 2026.
